Halloween Costume ideas for Internet Nerds and Apple Fanboys (or Fangrls)

Halloween has been my favorite holiday since I can remember. The costumes, the chocolate and late night monster movies. I’m always on the look out for new costume ideas, for myself or friends. So here are some costumes I’ve found — perfect for all of you internet nerds and Apple fanboys (or fangrls.)

Internet inspired Halloween Costumes

If your costume is cool enough, you may make it to the front page! Not sure how this costume is constructed, but it the number of Diggs can be changed throughout the night, even better!

All you need is some poster board, a magic markers! Or print out a screen shot of your profile page and mount it to a board. Are you a Myspace or Facebook user?

If you don’t want to spend your evening walking sideways through doorways – check out how this guy made a Facebook sweat suit – complete with dry erase “wall.”

I love this idea. A Wikipedia page for the party you’re attending. Let fellow party-goers contribute to the article and come home with a great keepsake!

More poster board and markers! Be your own YouTube video or add to this idea by being a YouTube celebrity like itschriscrocker, Fred or WilliamSledd.

icanhascheezburger.com is one of my favorite blogs. Take a simple cat costume and make it an LOL cat with a cute caption. (use the font Impact to be as authentic as possible.)

Here’s some I haven’t seen, but I think could be fun – if you’ve got an idea, share it!

You Got Rick Rolled! Dress as Rick Astley with 80′s get up and pompadour, spend the night dancing and singing “Never Gonna Give You Up”
An RSS Feed. wear all orange and attach a RSS logo to your chest.
Fail Whale. A whale costume should do it just add some blue paper birdies and attach them with some straightened wire hangers.
The Blendtec Guy! Get some saftey goggles and a lab coat. If your not going to be consuming alcohol, bring a blender along to blend things.

I once went as a microchip and everybody made fun of me. Maybe it was because I was an 8 pin DIP and not SMD.

Nerd

This is actually the second blog post I’ve read today about themed weddings. It seems people are getting more and more liberal with the activities they will do at their weddings. From crazy dance offs to nerdy themes, I think that ‘love’ is heading in the right direction.

Who wants love to be so serious anyways!
