It crashes less (actually I've never had Transmit crash), faster, easier to use, clean looking, the list goes on. Sure, it's not free, but it's worth more than it's price tag. I also have a problem using it though because it gets annoying. But, the pain that I avoid by using it is more than well worth the annoyance.
