It’s Day #8! Today was supposed to be our launch, but things have been pushed back to tomorrow morning. My end of the work is done, so I’m really just waiting now so that I can finally talk about what it is that my client is doing, cause it’s pretty bad ass!
I had some questions via email today for more details on my process – so I thought I’d take you through what I do. It’s all about managing the project and staying in clear communication with your client.
Since my work really is done now, today is going to be the last day for this video series! It’s very important to spell out exactly what you need from the client, and exactly when you need it. There have been a few times when I was hesitant to do this — it made me feel like I was being demanding, as you mentioned. But it’s only practical, and results for any project are better when both client and freelancer work together. Thank you for these videos and your tips. :)

posted on November 18th, 2009 at 11:58 PMI have usually been horrible about spelling things out explicitly from the beginning and end up getting run over by clients as we go. It’s nice to see how other designers handle these kind of things and provide me with ideas as I go forward.
